On Monday, April 18, 2011 at the Sault Area Hospital at the age of 86, we said goodbye to a deeply loved great grandfather, grandfather, father, and husband of almost 65 years. Known to all his friends and family as Jack, he was a proud and wonderful man. Beloved husband of Mona Erb. Father of Kim Erb (Monique). Loving grandfather of Brandy Clawson (Pet), Curtis Erb, and Shawna Sphener. Great grandfather of Wyatt Erb and Angline Erb. Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Bob Carlson (late Betty) and his sisters Arley Devoe (late Bill), Flossie Hawdon (late Charles) and Thelma Erb. Survived by his brother Wilton (Duke) Erb (Cheryl). Brother-in-law of Violet McGaughey (late Francis), Ellwood Dale (Ruth) and the late; Kathleen (late Willard Findlay), Marina (late Harold Howard), Evan Dale (Noreen) and Melvin Dale (Ethel). At Jack’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. Jack will rest in peace at the Geenwood Cemetery Urn Garden Columbarium. A special thank you to the staff of the second floor Cedar Grove wing at the F.J. Davey Home. They treated our loved one and ourselves with great kindness and courtesy.
