Marie is now reunited with the love of her life, Joseph Elliott. Born Marie May Souliere to the late Agnes Souliere. Marie was a devout Catholic and now is in the hands of the Lord.
Beloved mother of Brenda Teite, Robert Elliott, Andria Valois and the Joanne Elliott. Cherished grandmother of Andrew, Jennifer, Joseph, Caitlin, Darcie and Julia. Special great grandmother of Julien, Rachel and Audrey.
Dear sister to Robert Gillespie (late Norma), Evelyn Vye (Delbert), William Gillespie (Marcy) and her late twin sisters Edith O’Leary (John) and Eva Milne (George). Loving auntie to many nieces, nephews and a special auntie to Karen.
Marie loved her hometown of Hawk Junction, enjoyed fishing, cooking, baking and playing bingo. She will be missed and remembered by her family and friends.
There will be no service as this was her wish. She requested that she be cremated and laid to rest at a later date in Pine Grove Cemetery, Hawk Junction, Ontario.
Mom was a proud member of Michipicoten First Nation and enjoyed going to the gatherings in her younger years.
I want to thank the March of Dimes, Bayshore and her foot care friend, Penny, for their wonderful care of Mom. Thank you to the staff of the Sault Area Hospital involved in Mom’s care during her stay there. As well to the Group Health Centre staff, doctors, nurses plus the pharmacy staff for excellent service. So many wonderful people helped Mom in her last years here in the Sault, and we will never forget what you all did for her. Thank you all. Robert Elliott and family.
