Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Sault Area Hospital on Monday, June 24, 2013 at the age of 74. Beloved husband of the late Cecile (2004). Loving father of Cheryl Siitse (Juri), Harry (Patti), Monica Eklund (Dennis) and Emerson (Patti). Cherished grandfather of David Siitse (Tamara), Jackie (Mark Mullen), Randi (Pat Marsh), James, Jordan, Jack and Josh Eklund, Paige Eklund. Great grandfather of 7. Dear brother of Henry Eklund (Louise), Helmi Powley (Frank) and Aino Souliere (Gerry). Remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Special father-in-law of Victoria Eklund. Olavi will be missed by his close friends Wes, Ed, Gary, Mary and many others at Kottitalo. Special thank you to the staff on 1B at the Sault Area Hospital as well as the Renal Dialysis Unit staff for the years of compassion and care shown towards our father. Also thank you to the wonderful staff at the Finnish Resthome.
