Passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at the age of 76. He is now reunited with his beloved wife Karen Eckhart. Loving father of Susan Kutvonen (Mark). Cherished son of Isabel and the late Harry Eckhart. Dear brother of Maureen Oprzedek (late Walter), and the late Norman Eckhart. Brother-in-law of Lester Burden (Debbie), Myrna Eddy, Bill Burden (Edna), and the late Shirley McDonaugh (late Murray). Wayne will be missed and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Wayne proudly served in our Armed Forces in RCEME for almost 4 years. He was very proud of his 30 year career with the Niagara Regional Police. Dad planned on going fishing on opening day for Walleye "Pickerel", however they are safe from him now. Memorial contributions (payable by cheque or online) to a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
