Passed away at the Sault Area Hospital on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 in her 90th year. Faithful life partner and wife of the late Dr. Charles R. M. Eaid for 58 years. Cherished mother of Geraldene Pfaff (Kenneth) of Simcoe. Dear grandmother of George Charles Pfaff (Nicola) of Sarnia and Valerie Regan Pfaff (Jeffrey MacDonald) of Sarnia. Great grandmother of George Quinten Pfaff. Dear sister of Gerald Symonds (late Alice) of Thunder Bay, Roy Symonds (Dorothy) of Calgary and Ralph Symonds (Fern) of Innisfail, Alberta. Mildred will be missed by the loyal family dog Kadin. Mildred was a graduate of Brantford General Hospital Registered Nursing Program in 1943. There she met a handsome young intern Charles Eaid. They married and settled in Charles’ hometown of Sault Ste. Marie and together they served the community for over 55 years. Friends may call at the Barton & Kiteley Funeral Home on Friday, October 29, 2010 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm. Funeral service will be celebrated from Westminster Presbyterian Church on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 2 pm. Rev. Charlene Wilson officiating. Interment on Monday, November 1, 2010 at St. Luke’s Columbarium at 2 pm. with Mildred’s daughter Rev. Geraldene Pfaff officiating. Memorial contributions to SAH Foundation, the Kidney Foundation of Canada or Westminster Presbyterian Church would be appreciated by the family.
