Dr. Charles Eaid R.M., M.D., C.M., M.C.F.P., C.C.F.P.- passed away on April 8, 2002. He was a well known physician and life-long resident of Sault Ste. Marie. He was 83 years old. Dr. Eaid was the beloved husband of Mildred Eaid, loving father of Geraldene and Kenneth Pfaff of Simcoe, Ontario, and dear grandfather of George Charles of Edmonton and Valerie Regan of Simcoe. During his medical practice of over fifty years in the Sault, Dr. Eaid was president of the Sault Ste. Marie Medical Society, charter president of the Algoma West Academy of Medicine, and Chief of Staff of the Plummer Memorial Hospital, (1971-1981), Dr. Eaid was one of the first physicians in Canada to be certified in family medicine, winning the Schering Award in 1971, and becoming a fellow of the College of Family Practice in 1978. While continuing his won practice, Dr. Eaid was also Medical Director for the F.J.
