June 22, 1960 - May 14, 2024

I had a good life. I took great pleasure in some of the simpler things. Unfortunately, on May 14, 2024 my journey came to an end.

Nothing brought me greater joy than spending time with good friends with whom I shared a special bond of enduring affection. I am fortunate to have had more than a few such friends in this lifetime. We had fun and created many special memories. I hope as you think of me, you remember all the good, fun, and crazy times, and that this brings a smile to your face.

I loved to make people laugh. Though not everyone understood my sense of humour, I still found it funny. Humour was my way of reaching out. I enjoyed connecting with people and wanted to help anyone that needed it.

My close friends will know that I took great joy from my building projects. I loved the designing aspect, as well as the problem solving. As we all know, not everything always goes as planned, so I enjoyed figuring out how to make things work.

Sports was a big part of my life, and something I took great pleasure in. I enjoyed basketball, sailing and water skiing, but I enjoyed baseball the most, as that is where I met many special friends. Baseball also has a very special meaning for me, as that is how I met Syd.

Syd was and is the love of my life. She has been my life, my purpose, my everything. I have been so fortunate and blessed to have experienced such great love in this lifetime. Syd, I love you.

I hope when you think of me, you remember all the good and fun times, and smile. To all my friends and my family, I will miss you all dearly.

Remember to LIVE LIFE.

I send a special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and PSWs that gave me such wonderful care.

At my request, there will be no memorial service. Instead of flowers, you can make donations (payable by cheques or online) to Sault Area Hospital Foundation, Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society or Operation Smile Canada.
