DUNNE, DELLA IRENE (NEE VANSCOY)

Peacefully in her sleep with family at her side at the Sault Area Hospital (Plummer Site) on Wednesday May 26, 2010, Della Dunne in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Bill (Wm) Dunne. Loving and dedicated mother to Jim (Louise) of Peterborough, Pat (Judy (George) Zaritsky) of Burlington, Lynn (Bonnie), Greg (Aili), and Brien (Roni). Della was a proud Grandmother to 9 Grandchildren, Maureen of Burlington, Patty Jr. of Toronto, Andrea of Peterborough, Mattias, Shane, Brady, Todd, Scott and Vicki. Della was also Great Grandmother to 9 Great Grandchildren, Abigail, Nicholas, Jake, Scott Jr., Rily, Kiarra, Brianna, Ethan, and Hailie. Daughter of the late Tom and Elizabeth VanScoy. Della is sister to the late Isabelle (late Murray) Hounsel, late Theresa (late Chester) Bolton, Kay (late Martin) Yukich, Theda (late Doug) Barber, and the late Walter, Tom (Migonne), and the Harry (Gertrude) VanScoy. Della was aunt to many nieces and nephews. Della will be sadly missed by her family and friends, her loving smile, her wonderful sense of humour, her warm and welcoming ability to always make you feel special. Della and her family couldn’t thank and praise all the staff on the 3rd Floor of the SAH (Plummer Site) enough, for their kindness, empathy, compassion, special care and loving hearts. A Private Family Funeral Service is being planned. Donations to the Sault Area Hospital or the Finnish Rest Home would be appreciated.
