DOWHOWER, Julia I.

Julia I. Conway Dowhower, 67, of Middletown, peacefully passed away on Monday, September 26, 2016, in ManorCare, Elizabethtown. Originally born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, on August 11, 1949.  She was formerly employed at Brenner Motors and Saturn as a clerk. She enjoyed shopping, reading, collecting stuffed bears, listening to music, relaxing with her dogs and birds, and spending time with her family. Julia was the daughter of Rita Harper Conway and the late Colin Conway both of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.  She is survived by her husband, David D. Dowhower of Middletown; a daughter, Melanie Rupp of Highspire; a son, Phillip Neubaum, Jr. of Steelton; two step daughters, Jill Fox wife of Steven of Hummelstown, and Holly Stokes wife of Eric of Myerstown; siblings, Tracy Blackmore wife of Dave of Wawa, Ontario, and Phillip Conway husband of Jill of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario; sister in law, Sandra Conway of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Julia was preceded in death by two brothers, Alan Conway and Larry Conway; and a grandson, Shane Fox. A memorial service was held September 30, 2016 in Harrisburg, PA. Interment will be in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, at the convenience of the family. Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown.
