With heavy hearts the family of Eila Douville announce her passing on Sunday January 22, 2012. We were truly blessed to call her our wife, mother and grandmother. In her 75th year, while at ARCH, Eila went to be with her Lord. Beloved wife of John Douville, for 55 years. Dear mother to her four children, Debbie (Mark), David (Francie), Joey and Diane. She was blessed with seven grandchildren who adored her dearly, Gerrit (Carla), Ryan, Jordan, Jamison, Jonathon, (Alycia), Stephane (Brianne), and her only granddaughter, Karina. Dear daughter of the late Aune and Tauno Manninen. Sister of the late Marja-Liisa, Laila, and Kalevi. Loving sister-in-law to Valeda (late Ray), Joyce (late Jack), Nora (late Tauno), Joe (Helen), Jackie (late Ron), and Patricia (Wayne). Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Eila was best known for her outstanding cooking, as well as her incredible kindness and generosity to everyone who came into her life. In keeping with Eila’s wishes, a Memorial Service to honour her life will be held at Holy Trinity Church (352 Northern Ave.) on Friday January 27th, 2012, at 7:00p.m., with Pastor Henry Gaines officiating. A special thank you, to all the nurses of Oncology, Palliative, and Emergency Care, at the Sault Area Hospital, as well as Home Care. Memorial Contributions to ARCH would be appreciated.
