DOUCET, Constance ‘Connie’ (nee Fantham)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Connie (Constance) Doucet (nee Fantham) Connie passed peacefully at ARCH hospice on Tuesday March 19, 2024, at the age of 81, surrounded by her family following a long and very courageous battle with cancer.

Loving wife of Louis Doucet.

Cherished mother of Pam Chorney (Wayne) and Mike Forsey (Lise). Stepmother of Monique Bumbaco (Chris), the late Donald Doucet (Debbie), Nicole Doucet (Dan), Guy Doucet (Lorraine) and Lise Forsey (Mike).

Loving Nana (Memere) of Joshua Dugas (Ashley), Jordan Dugas (Amanda), Riley Forsey (Anthony), Cali Forsey (Ty), Kayla Findlay (Josh), Jocelyne Doucet (Brian), Courtney Mohyla (Jeff), Sarah Miller, Alicia Miller (Anthony), Nicolas Doucet (Natasha), Celine Doucet (Huss) and Jeremi Doucet. Connie will be missed by her many great grandchildren.

Predeceased by her parents Lloyd and Julia Fantham. Sister of Pat Gagnon (late Gerry), late Butch (Yolande), Colleen Weyer (Randy), Kathy Adair (John) and the late Bob Fantham (Jo-Marie). Aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Connie was well known for her creative and artistic abilities.  She also took pride in her paintings which she loved to share with friends and family.

Connie and Louis were avid gardeners winning several beautification awards. 

Connie was an inspiration to others suffering from cancer. 

Family and friends will miss her always and we will forever keep her in our hearts.

As per Connie’s wishes there will be no services.

Special thanks to the nurses, staff and volunteers at ARCH hospice for their care and compassion, Dr. Nicole Apostle, Dr. Silvana Spadafora, Dr. Joseph Reich and the nurses on 3B at the Sault Area Hospital for their care and kindness.

Memorial donations can be made to ARCH Hospice or the Sault Area Hospital Cancer Care Fund. Payable by cheque or online.
