Passed away peacefully, with family at her side, at the Sault Area Hospital on October 28, 2023.

She is now reunited with her loving husband, John Donovan. Cherished mother of Andris Krumins (Kim) and Ivars Krumins (Jennifer). Adored grandmother of Danielle Wollman (Mathew), Karli (Chris), Samantha, Kieran, Melissa (Tiago) and Kaiya.

Predeceased by her parents Adolf and Katrina Senfelds. Dearest sister of the late Emilija Kairys (Frank) and Anita Senfelds (Ludi). Fondly remembered by many extended family and friends, especially Eileen Fagan, who was always by her side.

Ausma had a passion for ballroom dancing, which brought her to Sault Ste Marie, to open up the Arthur Murray School of Dance.  Her feet hit the floors in many of the lodges and halls that hosted dances, and especially the local legion. Along with her dancing, Ausma loved singing and participated in many Latvian song festivals, as well as being a member of the senior's choir here in the Soo, and her church choir at Zion Lutheran.

A special thank you to the staff and PSW’s at Kotitalo Assisted Living for your exceptional care of Ausma over the years. Thank you also to the doctors and nurses at the Sault Area Hospital for the compassionate care given to Ausma.

Family and friends  are invited to a visitation at O’Sullivan Funeral Home on Saturday, November 25, 2023, from 12pm until 2pm. A Memorial Service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church at 3pm. Memorial donations made out to the Alzheimer’s Society of Sault Ste Marie or the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 25 in Ausma’s name would be greatly appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to O’Sullivan Funeral Home (215 St. James St., 705-759-8456, www.osullivanfuneralhome.com).
