DONALDSON, Robert James (Jim) Edwin

Passed away peacefully with his children at his side, on Wednesday, May 19, 2004 at the General Hospital at the age of 66. Loving father of Randy (Bonnie), Robert (Cindy) and Shelly Crowe (Bobby). Grandfather of Brandy Donaldson, Robin Garrity (John), Amber Selkirk and Whitney Donaldson. Great grandfather to be of Evan James Garrity. Jim was born in Thessalon, raised in Bruce Mines and was supervisor for the Sault Ste. Marie Region Conservation Authority until 1985. Jim also was a long-time country music band leader in the Soo area and an inductee of the Northern Ontario Country Music Hall of Fame. Jim was a reservist of the 49th regiment and member of the Canadian Legion Branch 25. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home and Cremation Centre on Friday, May 21, 2004 from 7-9 pm. Funeral service in the chapel on Saturday, May 22, 2004 at 10 am. Rev. Don McKay officiating. Memorial contributions to Northern Ontario Country Music Hall of Fame or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 25 are requested to assemble at the Arthur Funeral Home and Cremation Centre on Saturday, May 22, 2004 at 10 am for a service for the late Jim Donaldson.
