Heaven got a little brighter on Saturday January 7th, 2012; Gordon passed away peacefully at his home in Hawk Junction with his best friend (Tippy) at his side. We lost Gordon Neil Doherty in his '65th' year, formerly of Echo Bay. Beloved husband and soulmate for 16 years of Heather Doherty. Loving father of Marsha Doherty and her husband Joe, Maralyn Doherty and her partner Crystal, and Calvin Doherty . Cherished grandfather of Aj & Mikey Brisson, Cheyenne Curlew Doherty, Kerra Doherty, Michaela, MaryKate, and Molly Fraser, Adam Szemenyei, Charlie & Timothy Fraser and Dylan & Isabelle Fraser. Dear step-father to Jeremy Fraser and his wife Kelly, Jason Fraser and his partner Victoria, Nadine Fraser & her wife Margaret and Debbie Fraser. Brother of Jack Doherty and Sheila Doherty. Son of Dorthy Doherty and the late Gordon Doherty. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service at the P.M. Gilmartin Funeral Home (140 Churchhill Ave., Wawa, 1-800-439-4937) on Thursday January 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Bonnie Rayner officiating.
