December 24, 1948 to July 28, 2023
We are sad to share the passing of our Dad and husband Alan. He passed away at the Milton District Hospital with his family by his side.
Alan is survived by his wife Maureen as well as his daughter Kirsten, her husband Mark, his son Ryan and his wife Krista. Much loved Poppy to Benjamin, Noah, Lilly and Mya.
Alan leaves behind his sisters Linda (Richard) and Dianna (Wilfred). Alan will also be missed by his brothers and sisters-in-law David, Terry (Mona), JoAnne (Rick), Bryan (Gigi) and Sandie (John).
Many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews will miss him and his infectious smile.
He will surely be missed by his many friends.
Alan is predeceased by his parents Ian and Gladys, his brother Donald(Esther), his sister Shirley (Raymond) and sister-in-law Sharron.
He will finally be reunited with his two favorite granddogs Jagger and Gracie.
Alan was a long time resident of Sault Ste. Marie and retiree of Algoma Steel.
He was always one to make those around him smile and laugh.
He loved his cars, his granddogs and pizza! He spent much of his time basking in the sun for hours on his deck.
He loved his family immensely.
We want to extend our gratitude to all of those who cared for Alan including Halton Paramedics, Dr. Gray for her care, compassion and guidance at this difficult time and all of the nurses on 3 South who worked tirelessly to care for him and support his family.
There will be no funeral as per Alan’s wishes.
