Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Thursday, January 1, 2009 at the age of 87. Loved deeply by his wife of 65 years, Ida (Rose). Wonderful Dad to Janet Wardlaw (Brian) and Nancy McCrea (Bob). Much loved Grampa to Faith Panek (Brian), Chris McCrea (Jenn) and Craig McCrea (Kristin). Special Grampa to Clint Wardlaw (Trish), Kelly Jackson (Harvey) and Greg Wardlaw (Charles-Anne). Great-grandfather of Matthew, Kennedy, Riley and Tyler, Deryl, Sarah, John, Katie, Tashina, Stacy, Derek, Ashlyn, Jordan and Jenna-Rae. Brother of the late Tom Dixon, late Sarah Moss, late Bob Dixon and the late Olive Thomas. Brother-in-law of the late Ivy Frolick, late Horace Rose, late Cecil Rose, late Winifred Marshall, late Ruth Stewart and Ed Rose.
