Peacefully after a courageous battle with Parkinson's at Extendicare Maple View on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 with family at her side. Predeceased by her husbands Norm DeMarchi and John Taylor. Loving mother of Ken DeMarchi (Susan), Rick DeMarchi (Julie) and the late Mark DeMarchi. Caring mother-in-law of Suzanne DeMarchi. Cherished grandma of Jordan, Justin (Jordana), Mikala (Tyler), Stephan and great grandmother of Connor. Survived by her siblings Ron Monette (late Marnie) and Roland Stewart (late Ray) and predeceased by siblings Robert Monette, Larry Monette and Giselle Kwatick (late Bob). Dearest sister-in-law of Rita Jones (Chris) and Alice Gallino (Alfeo). Mariette will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Will also be missed by her close friends Rhea, Suzanne and Celine. She will be remembered as a mentor to many students as a teacher and principal with the French Catholic School Board. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Monday, March 2, 2020 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. 705-759-2522). Funeral service to follow in the chapel at 1 pm with Rev. Jean-Pierre Mukuna officiating. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
