DeLUCO, Rose Assunta (1935-2024) – It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Rose at the FJ Davey Home on Friday, January 19, 2024 at the age of 88.
Rose was born on November 1, 1935 to the late Armand and the late Assunta Suriano (nee Santana). Beloved wife of the late Ted. Caring, devoted mother of Richard (Anne) and the late Diana (David Crookston, Terri). Cherished grandmother of Kristen and Daniel (Morgan) and loving great grandmother of Sophia. Dear sister of Val Suriano (Jean) and the late Josephine Gareau (Tony). Rose will be missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Rose was a very strong, hard working and ambitious woman who was deeply devoted to her family. She also held a special place in her heart for the family’s fur babies. She found much contentment in sewing, crocheting and knitting and donated many of her “signature” slippers to the Sault Area Hospital. Her door was always open and anyone who visited never went away hungry.
Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service in the Chapel at 12:00 noon with Father Alex Saurianthadathil officiating.
