It is with heavy hearts that we announce her passing at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at the age of 89. Ersilia was born in Figline Vegliaturo, Cosenza Italy, where she met the love of her life, her husband, the late Francesco DeLuca. Predeceased by her parents Francesco and Rosaria Aceti, and her mother and father-in-law Stella and Pietro DeLuca. Ersilia was the cherished and precious mother of Clare Caicco (Dominic), and Peter DeLuca. Adored grandma of Anne-Marie Caicco (Adam Courneene), Laurie Breault (Cale Krezek), Sarah Fratesi (Kevin), Patrick DeLuca (Sarah Dubois), Austin DeLuca (Kendra Pyatt) and Morgan Tersigni (Justin Evans). Very special "Nuni" and great grandma of Connor Matthew Breault. Ersilia is predeceased by all her siblings Umberto Aceti (late Guilia), Joseph Aceti, Pasquale Aceti (late Louise), Gino Aceti (Gina), and Marietta Filice (late Luigino) and her sister-in-law Chiarina DeLuca. Ersilia loved spending time with her dearest and best friends Dominic and Gloria Stefannizi. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends and family are invited to visit at Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street East, 705-759-2522) on Thursday, June 27, 2019 from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations (payable by cheque) to ARCH would be appreciated.
