Born June 21, 1920 in Meduna di Livenza, Treviso, Italy passed away peacefully at the F.J. Davey Home on Saturday September 2, 2006; Dusolina Defend at the age of 86 years. Beloved wife of the late Giuseppe Defend (1916-1976). Cherished mother of Italo (Marjorie), Dino (Ann Marie), Grace Rathwell (Dennis), Luciano (Beverly) and Anna Marie Jeffrey (Leon). Loving nona of Cathy, Joseph, Anthony, Christina, Danny, Marianne, Dawn, Karen, Paullette, Jessica and also great nona of many great grandchildren. Daughter of the late Olivia and Augusto Marson. Sister of Suora Antoinetta, Fausto, the late Pietro, the late Basilio and the late Maria. Dusolina will be remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Wednesday September 6, 2006 from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service in the Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Eric Pannike officiating. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial donations made to the S.A.H. New Building Fund or to St. Anthony’s Mission Charities would be appreciated by the family.
