Donald Cameron Dean passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and children, at the Elliot Lake Hospital at the age of 77. Loving husband of Mary (nee Robertson) for 50 years. Amazing and supportive father of Jennifer (Dean), Sara (Marcel), Stephanie (Kyle) and Jeff (Sheri). Papa to Brady, Devon, Sienna, Ryan, Zoe and Evy. Brother of Lyle (Enid), Maxine (David), Agnes, Wanda (Glen), Garfield (Beth), the late Marilyn (Roy), the late Glenda (Wayne) and Heather (Neil). Predeceased by his parents Donald and Dorothy Dean and his brother Blair. Lovingly remembered by Mary’s siblings and their spouses, many nieces and nephews, and numerous friends from far and wide.
Don was a very kind person who would give the shirt off his back to a complete stranger. He was helpful to many in so many ways and was quietly selfless, never needing recognition.
He had a real zest for life with an adventurous spirit which took him down many roads giving anyone a ride to whatever destination was required. He loved to joke, tease, followed by a laugh.
His love for music united many, playing tunes on his harmonica and accompanying Mary on the piano.
Don had a strong faith, his real love being his unwavering belief in God loving the Gospel Story.
Family and friends are invited to visit at Iron Bridge Lions Hall, 10 Clarissa Street, on Friday, March 22, 2024, between 6pm to 9pm and again on Saturday, March 23, 2024, beginning at 10am until time of funeral service at 11am. Interment at Carlyle Cemetery.
