Bill just received his spirit name, Wabanoong Nimkii “Eastern Thunder” – Surrounded by love at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at the age of 82.  Beloved husband of Joan for over 60 years.  Loving father of Mark and the late Michael (Lori) and the late Murray.  Devoted Grandpa of Sarah (Darren), Jacob (Jessy) and Autumn (Adam).  Grandpa Beavertrap of Hunter, Mattea and Xavier.  Grampy of Meadow, Michael, Hadley and Thatcher.  Predeceased by his parents Earl and Gladys Daniher.  Dear brother of Edna (Tom), Herb (Sharon), Marg (Bert), Gary (June), Bob (Gwen), the late Donnie and the late Carl (late Georgia).  He will be remembered by his brothers and sisters-in-law.  Favourite Uncle Bill to many nieces and nephews.  After 38 years, he was recognized as the longest serving Conservation Officer in Ontario.  Bill stayed active in the community by dedicating his time as a Deputy Conservation Officer and Auxiliary Staff Sergeant with the OPP.  Special thanks to all the personal support workers, the nurses in emergency, the staff at ARCH and Christine Trivers.  Family and friends are invited to the Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. East 705-759-2522) on Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 11 am until 12:30 pm.  Memorial service to follow in the chapel at 1 pm.  Mr. Willard Pine officiating.  Memorial contributions to the Parkinson Society, ARCH or choice would be appreciated.
