Passed away peacefully at ARCH on Friday, May 31, 2013 in his 84th year. Loving husband of Marianne (nee Garton). Caring father of Alan (Catherine) of Delhi, Ontario, Steven of Sault Ste. Marie, Mark of Pickle Lake, Ontario, Michael (Treena) of Airdrie, Alberta and Ruth Hurst (Scott) of Nestor Falls, Ontario. Proud grandfather of four and great grandfather of one. Predeceased by siblings John (Mary) and Laurel Fleming (late Jack). Brother-in-law of J.B. Garton of Smith Falls, Ontario. Robert was born in Ottawa, grew up in Smith Falls and moved to Sault Ste. Marie where he spent the last 47 years. At Robert’s request, no service will be held. A family memorial to be planned for a later date.
