It is with great sadness we, the family of Rene Cyr, (born April 14, 1929), announce his unexpected passing on August 9, 2010 at the Sault Area Hospital. He will be re-united with our mother Joyce (Humphries), in hopes that she will have something really good to eat waiting for him. He will be sadly missed by his children Suzanne Cyr, late Denis Cyr, Mike Cyr, Gisele Verdecchia (Jerry), Sasha Christie (Dave), Renee-Ann Smith (Paul) and Celine Timbers (Chris). Much loved Poppo to Robert, Jarred, Shawn, Josh, Luke, Matthew, late Jamie, Brianne, Elisha, Danielle, Kyle, Andrew, Kendra, Jennifer and Nathan. Great Poppo to Spencer, Nevaeh, Hope, Kenadie, Tyran, Taylor, Mekenna, and Devon-Rose. Rene is the son of the late Lucien and Lea Cyr and the son-in-law of the late William and Therese Humphries. He is brother to Jean-Guy Cyr (Celine) and Juliette Leblanc. Rene is brother-in-law and uncle to many. We would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful nurses on the sixth floor that took care of Dad. Also a very special thank you to Dr. Shaffy and Dr. Costain for the honest, gentle and compassionate care they gave our father.
