It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Wm. Ralph Crozier, on Monday, June 12, 2023 in his 92nd year, with his daughter Ruth at his side.

Beloved husband and dearest friend of Gloralyn (mom) for 67 years. Dearly loved and respected father (Big O) of Darwin (Darlene), Dawna Ruth (Jim), Dan (Rhonda), and Karla. Adored grandad of Riley Crotta of Hamilton, Marty Crozier (Sarah), Keith Johnston of Iqaluit, Christina Burke (Greg), Danielle Boychuk (Blaine), Faye Crozier (Giles), and Noah Crozier (friend Maddy). Extremely proud great-grandad (old grandad) of Maddy Crotta of Hamilton, Rowan, and Lochlyn Burke of Blind River, Everett Campbell, Brooklyn and Dean Boychuk. Uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Joe and Ruth Crozier. Brother of Bill (Aileen) of Goulais Bay, Grant (Gayle) of Burks Falls, and predeceased by brother Karl (late Betty), sisters Grace Lattimer (late Jim), and Kathy Nelson (late Doug).

Ralph was a logger, a teamster, a carpenter, a farmer. He was a police officer for 39 years, serving 3 years with the Ontario Provincial Police and retiring as inspector after 36 years with the Sault Ste. Marie Police services. He was retired for over 30 years. Ralph was raised on a farm in Burks Falls, and although he physically left the homestead at 18, it never left him. He farmed part time all his life, raising registered Belgian horses, along with a few cattle. He was happy at the barn, and in the fields, plowing and haying with the horses, with his 2 sons and grandson and brother Bill. Family was everything to him, gathering and enjoying a good home cooked meal and a dram of good scotch.

At Ralph's request there will be no visitation or funeral. Interment Grace United Cemetery in Hilton Beach, Ontario. Memorial contributions payable by cheque or online to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

The family would like to thank Dr. Brigaglia, Dr. Lewis O'Brien, Dr. Jarrett, and Dr. Shafiee. Special thanks for kindness shown by Toni, Laura, and Jen of urology at the Sault Area Hospital. Many thanks to the RN's and PSW's from the F.J. Davey Home for their extraordinary kindness always, but especially the last 10 days he was there. Pam and Tracey we wouldn't have made it without your expertise, compassion and friendship. Mary, thanks also for all you did for Ralph and his family. To the many PSW's and Ralph's "regulars" Lim, Lindsay, Britney, Amanda, and Lisa, he loved you, had faith in you, and was very comfortable in your care. An extra special thanks to Lim everyday, but especially looking after him and caring for him for "mom" at the end. Our sincere thanks to the F.J. Davey Home on Driftwood 1.

Arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. 705-759-2522). Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the Crozier family.
