On Saturday, March 2, 2024, Clayton Cright passed away peacefully at Extendicare Mapleview and is now reunited with his beloved wife, Lorraine.

Cherished father of Wade (Trisha), Vicky (Scott) and Gerry (Tracy). Adored grandfather of Keesha, Carlie, Kenzie and Ethan Cright. Special great-grandfather of Kora and John Ross "JR".

Born November 15, 1939, to the late Alfred and Irene Cright (nee Lariviere). Predeceased by his siblings: Jack (Louise), Germaine Sigerdson (late Eddie), Edna Wupori (late Victor), Mable Miller (Bob), Gerald (Faye) and Margaret Jargiello (late Mike).

Clayton will be fondly remembered by many special nieces and nephews.

As a young man, Clayton travelled the world as a chef with the Navy and enjoyed sharing the many tales of his adventures to his family and friends.

He was a proud father and grandfather, who enjoyed spending time with his family.

Many referred to Clayton as “Coach”, a reference he took pride in, he loved his time coaching hockey and baseball.

Thank you to the (former) staff of Cedarwood and Extendicare Mapleview for the compassion and care provided to Clayton over the years.

At this time, cremation has taken place, and no services will be held. Clayton will be laid to rest alongside his wife Lorraine at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Sault Ste. Marie & Algoma District or to the Canadian Cancer Society and would be greatly appreciated by the family.
