Passed away peacefully and with great courage after a short but courageous fight with cancer. Surrounded by his loving family on Monday, December 26, 2005 at the Plummer Hospital at the age of 66. Life time soul mate of Karen. Loving father and best friend of Daniel, Tammy Coutts (David), Maureen, Michael, Willy (Clara), Colleen Poll (Adrian) and the late Robert. Fun-loving “Popster” of Trina Martin (Don), Melissa Lynk (David), Lacey, Jacob, Willie, Tanner, Tiana and Toni-Ann. “Poppy” to great grandchildren Cassidy and Connor Lynk and Zachary and Reese Martin. Son of the late Ida Grisdale (Couturier) and Douglas Couturier. Son-in-law of Etta Newman and the late Harold Newman. Brother to Shirley Bruno (late John), Connie Bovingdon (Gus), Lois Baxter (Erleen), John (Mona), Donald (Kim), David (Betty), Sharon Fry (Louie), Sandra Olendy (Peter), Aletha Bonin (Ken), Carolyn and Edward (Debbie). Predeceased by his brother Lloyd and sister Beverly Masters. Brother-in-law of Irwin Newman, Terry Newman, Steven Newman (Christine), Maureen Mason (Richard), Nancy Delavalle and Jacqueline Coutts (Alan). He is survived by many nieces and nephews and leaves behind many friends. He will be greatly missed by his dog “Spike”. Wilbert will be remembered for his sense of humour, great love of family and his zest for life and travel. Safe in the arms of God now.
