After a courageous and lengthy battle with Parkinson’s disease, we announce with heavy hearts the passing of Pasquale Cimino on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Teresa (Santoro) of 54 years. Cherished father of Nat (Vicki), Pina Lauricella (Diego), Gino (Dina), Joe (Judy) and the late Nicola. Proud and loving Nonno of Jordan, Nicholas and Julia Cimino, Jonathan, Michael and Christopher Lauricella, Eric, Andrea, Alex, Anthony and Laura Cimino, Matthew and Teresa Cimino. Special Bis Nonno of Trey Obarymskyj. Predeceased by his parents Natale and Guiseppina (Curcio) of San Mango D’Aquino (Italy). Son-in-law of the late Eugenio and the late Rosaria Santoro of Cleto, Italy. Lovingly raised by the late Antonio (late Isabella) Curcio, of McKeesport, PA. Cherished brother of Carmela Aiello (Angelo) of San Mango D’Aquino, Italy, late Giovanni (Felice) Cimino of San Mango D’Aquino, Italy, Nicola (Serafina) of Toronto and Natale (Anita) of Toronto. Dear brother-in-law of the late Antonio Santoro (Emilia) of Argentina, Guiseppe Santoro (late Iola), Michele Santoro (late Gilda), late Salvatore Santoro (Luisa), of Cleto, Italy, late Michelina Adamo (late Eugenio), Emilia Santoro of Pisa, Italy, and Ottavio Santoro (Maria). Pasquale will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Pasquale was a proud employee of Algoma Steel for over 25 years. Friends may call at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Funeral mass to be celebrated at St. Jerome’s Parish at 2 p.m. with Monsignor Victor Amadio officiating. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Mausoleum. Memorial donations to the Sault Area Hospital would be appreciated by the family. The family would like to recognize and sincerely thank all the staff from WeCare, Bayshore Home Health and CCAC for the compassionate care and guidance given to our father/husband.
