(Born March 7, 1924, New Harbour, Newfoundland) ~ It is with heavy hearts that the daughters of Florence announce the passing of their family matriarch on Thursday, August 30, 2018 in her 95th year. Mom passed suddenly and peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital surrounded by the love of her family. Predeceased by her husband William "Bill" (1972), granddaughter Kerri-Lynn Victoria Bazzo and her parents Jacob & Marion Woodman. Left to celebrate her life are her daughters Marilyne Stewart (Bob), Irma Bazzo (Clyde), Betty Church (Peter Bonin), Dolly Morrison (Bill), Clara Park (Alex), Barbara Church (Ab Elliott); her grandchildren Paul Stewart (Christine), Brian Stewart (Vicki), Amanda Stocks (Robert), Mark Bimson (Laura), Mike Bazzo and Adam Park. Playful loving great gram of Siara Morrison, Aiden Bazzo, Ally Stewart and Garrett Bimson. Predeceased by her siblings Lillian Simons (late Stan), Harold Woodman (Mary) and Harrison Woodman (late Annie). Sister-in-law of Grace Reid (late Ted) (late Dominique Frechette), Lloyd (Ellie), David (late Irene); also predeceased by Joe, Lottie Young (Wesley), Lucy Garside (Reg), Allen (Shirley) and Helen Young (Mervyn). She will be remembered by cousins, nieces and nephews and her wonderful friends. Our mom lived a full independent life on her terms right to the end. She will be remembered for her bread, tie plates, doozies "toutons", butter tarts, Christmas cakes and preserves, especially for her famous relish all of which she generously shared. She loved knitting, word search, gospel music, going to camp, watching humming birds, visits, bingo and planning her next trip to her beloved home of Newfoundland. Her strong faith carried her through rough times and made her grateful for all of life blessings.
