CHINDAMO, Giovanni

Peacefully after a long battle with dementia, Giovanni passed away at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice on Saturday, August 17, 2013 with his family at his side.  Beloved husband of Maria for 60 years.  Loving father of Michael.  Predeceased by his parents Michele and Assunta of Cinquefrondi, Italy.  Dear brother of Angela Sorbara (late Domenic) of Cinquefrondi, Italy, Carmela Mandaglio (late Agostino) of Antwerp, Belgium, Frank (Theresa) of Sault Ste. Marie, Cosimo (Franca) of Toronto, Vincenzo of Belgium and Constantino (Maria) of Cinquefrondi, Italy.  Brother-in-law of Giovanni Gamba (Yolande), Rose Desando (Nick), Grace Raimondi (Luigi) all of Sault Ste. Marie, Carmen Gamba (Maria) of St. Catherines and Lina Policicchio (Tony) of Sault Ste. Marie.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church on Friday, August 23, 2013 at 11 am.  Rev. Francis Ezenezi officiating.  Entombment Holy Sepulchre Mausoleum.  Memorial contributions to ARCH would be appreciated.  A special thanks to the “Super Angels” at ARCH for the dignity, care, respect and compassion shown to Giovanni and our family.
