Peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late Orville for 49 years. Loving mother of Anne Hubert (Allan), Penny Martin (Roy), Tammy Boudah (Tim) and the late Perry. Cherished grandma of the late Brian, Theresa and Kenneth Grasley (Crystal), Cory (Molly), Kevin and Curtis Martin (Destiny), David Carter (Adam), Danielle Rivett (Chad) and Nickette Boudah. Proud great grandma “GG” of 10 and great great grandma of 1. Predeceased by her parents Erma MacDonald and Lorne Smith and her siblings Allan (late Lil), Harold and Joyce (late Ralph). Sister-in-law of Norma Smith. Aunt Trudy to many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Gert’s life will be held at the Echo Bay Elk’s Lodge (96 Church St, Echo Bay) on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 1 to 3 pm. Interment Gordon Lake Cemetery.
