Carlucci S

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Settimio at the Sault Area Hospital with family by his side on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at the age of 92. Settimio treasured his 61 years of marriage with his “sweetheart” and loving wife, Santa. Proud father of Luigi (Susie), Joe (Mena), Sandy (Lisa), and Marisa (Dan Ferlaino). Cherished Nonno of Larissa (Nathan), Jenna, Daniel, Julia, Vanessa, Matteo, and Luca. Beloved son of the late Antonio and the late Maddalena Carlucci. Loving brother of the late Arturo (late Filippina), late Tommasina Bernardo (Giovanni). and the late Adela Caputo (Antonio). Cherished brother-in-law of Domenico Scaglione (Irene)(late Lucia), Dimetrina Biffano (Adriano), Nicola Scaglione (Anna), Giuseppe Scaglione (Rosamaria), and the late Frank Scaglione. Settimio will be missed by his many nieces and nephews both in Canada and Italy.

His passion in life was his family, his lifelong sweetheart and soulmate Santa, and his obsession with hockey - a loyal Ottawa Senators fan.  He was a simple, proud, and wise man who loved to share stories and his knowledge in philosophy, education, and geography. He lived his life based on strong values, respect, and took pride in being the provider for his family. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. Riposa in Paradiso. Ci mancherai sempre.

Family and friends are invited to visit Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd., 705-945-7758) on Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Funeral Mass to be held at St. Gregory’s Church at 12:00 noon with Father Trevor Scarfone officiating.
