Suddenly passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at the Sault Area Hospital in his 74th year. Proud dad of Sandra (Ray) and Paula (late Peter). Adoring and very proud grandpa of Kaitlynn, Hannah, Jona, Jade and Jackson. Walter was a respected father like figure to Steven, Cathy and the late Donna. In following the wishes of Walter a private graveside interment will be held at the Grace United Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the SAH Renal Dialysis Care Fund. A special thank you to the doctors and nurses and staff at the Sault Area Hospital Renal Dialysis and the I.C.U. Units for the care and compassion shown to our father. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Pathways that always seemed to give above and beyond….. you know who you are, “The A Group”. Grandpa had a huge heart, he loved being in the outdoors. Camp was his favourite place to be, fishing, hunting, four wheeling anything that offered him a challenge. Another great passion of grandpa’s was to spend endless hours on his saw mill.
