Born Macchiagodena, Isernia, Italy passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at the Plummer Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, September 27, 2006; Vanda Carlascio at the age 77 years. Beloved wife of the late Donato Carlascio. Loving mother of Maria Cowan of Vancouver, BC and Elisa Carota (Domenic). Much loved and treasured nonna of Laurie Ann Fletcher and David Burt of Vancouver, BC, Adriano Carota (Blythe) and Giancarlo Carota. Dear daughter of the late Domenica and Michele Manocchio of Italy. Dear sister of the late Felice Manocchio (late Elvira) of Italy, Giovanna Venditti (Antonio) of Toronto and Rosa Notte (Matteo) of Italy. Dear daughter-in-law of the late Elisabetta and Pasquale Carlascio of Italy. Dear sister-in-law of the late Giovanni Carlascio (Cora). Loved by her nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. Vanda was a member of the Elettra Marconi Society. Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Sunday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass at Blessed Sacrament Church on Monday, October 2, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Eric Pannike officiating. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial donations made to the Sault Area Hospital - Palliative Care Fund, Critical Care Fund or 200A Medical Care Fund (Heart & Stroke Care Unit) would be appreciated by the family.
