in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario at the Sault Area Hospital (General Site). We
are deeply saddened to announce the death of Ruggero (Reg) Carella on
Wednesday, October 8, 2008. Beloved husband and best friend of Giuseppina
(Raponi). Loved and cherished father of Orlando (Rica), Fred and Eric
(Alberico) (Julie). Devoted Nonno of Mia (Luigi), Meagan and Cole. Son of
the late Alberico and Natalina Carella and son-in-law of the late Carmen and
Miranda Raponi all of Carpineto, Rome, Italy. Brother of the late Lina,
late Orlando, late Malfisa and late infant sister Maria Pia. Brother-in-law
of the late Fiore, late Pasquale, late Bernilda, Luigina (late Cesare),
Guido (Gralice), Raffaela (late Gaetano), Pietro (late Crocefisa), Silvana
(late Orlando) of Carpineto. Uncle of many nieces and nephews in Italy,
Australia and Canada. Special uncle to the late Riziero (Marcella) of Milan
and Immaculata (late Berto) of Capineto, Rome. Longtime friend of Ann and
the late Pete Mitchell of Paducah, Kentucky and caring neighbour of Marilyn
and Richard Blais and Tony and Vera Berlingieri. Friends may call at the
Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Saturday,
October 11, 2008 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will follow at
St. Joseph the Worker Church at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Boguslaw Jaroszek
officiating. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial
donations made to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation, Canadian Diabetes
Association and the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
