CARDIFF Norman Leonard, born in Sault Ste. Marie Ontario on September 27, 1936 and passed away peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Tuesday, January 30, 2024. 

Loving and devoted husband of Norma Cardiff (nee Lawrence) for 60 years.  Predeceased by his parents William and Mary Cardiff. Cherished father of Michele (Gizzy), Heather (Ralph), Norman Jr. (Wendy) and Vicki (Brent). Adored grandfather of Karen, late Kimberley, Austin, Ally, Jamie, Megan, Eric Jr., Thomas and Heather. Great grandfather of Michael, Jada, Natalia, Pietro, Ethan, Mayson, Madisyn, Montana, Melia, Thomas Jr., Chase and Akheem. Great-great grandfather of D'ior, Winter and Dion. He is survived by his sisters Dorothy and Betty and brothers Thomas, Richard, Allen and Roger.  He was uncle to many nieces and nephews.  Norm will be missed by many of our extended family members and of course his dear friends. 

Norm was a dedicated mailman of 33 years, he spent 45 years as an avid member of the Legion Branch 25 and he was a faithful Parishioner and Usher at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. He loved to cook, bowl and cheer on the Montreal Canadiens. Norm especially enjoyed listening, singing and dancing to Elvis. 
Thank you to his home care workers, Dr. Brenda Paat and the staff in the ICU, for the compassionate care and support.

Please join our family at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church on Monday, February 5, 2024 at 12 noon for a funeral mass, followed by a Celebration of Life at the Legion Branch 25  (currently at the Marconi Hall) at 450 Albert St. W from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Refreshments will be served. Memorial contributions can be made to the Kidney Foundation or a charity of your choice.
