It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, better known to us as "Queen Mary Elizabeth", at the age of 97. She was daughter to the late Archibald and Elsie Graham (nee Bashaw). Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband of 66 years Fred Caputo. Proud mother of Ted (late Cecile) and Shirley Abrams (Terry). Much loved "Nan" to Trevor Abrams (Debbie), Lisa Caputo (Colin Crawford), Brian Caputo (Mei) and Grant Abrams. Great grandmother to Sarah and Sophie Crawford, Tyler, Amanda and Rachael Abrams, and Emma and Ethan Abrams. Dear sister of  the late Albert Bashaw, the late Hazel Waito (late Percy), Elsie McPherson (late Bill), late Jack Graham (late Dell), late Bill Graham, late Helen Carson (late John), the late Ann Sacheski (late Fred), Archie Graham (late Helga), Christine Shaughnessy (late Ron) and Robert Graham (Vivian). Cousins Paula, Kathy and Eileen, who were her local support team giving endlessly of their time, care, energy and love, will dearly miss their Aunt Mamie.

She had a positive impact on her many other nieces, nephews, friends and relatives. Her life, strength and determination are to be admired and celebrated. Never was her concern for herself, always for others. We will all remember fondly her response to expressions of love…”love you more”! To that we say impossible!

The family would like to extend a special thank you to doctors Fritz, Sharp and Booth, the staff at Collegiate Heights Retirement Residence, the nursing staff from 3B at the S.A.H. as well as the outstanding care provided by the wonderful staff and volunteers at A.R.C.H.
