It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dear mother at the Sault Area Hospital after a long courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at the age of 80.  Beloved wife of the late Armando.  Loving mother of Antonette Beaird (William) and Terry (Maria).  Cherished Nana of Loren Beaird and Amanda Caputo.  Proud great Nana of Kaidyn Beaird.  Dear sister of Rosina Varone (late Alfredo) and the late Guido Pulice (late Maria).  Leonilda is lovingly remembered by her many close relatives and friends as well as family in Italy.  At Leonilda’s request there will be no visitation.  A funeral mass will be celebrated from St. Gregory’s Catholic Church on Monday, January 23, 2012 at 11 am.  Rev. Trevor Scarfone officiating.  Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.  A special thank you to all the caregivers for their care and compassion shown to our mother during her time of need.  Expressions of sympathy may be offered at www.arthurfuneralhome.com
