CAMPION, William John (Bill)

Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Sunday Feb 6, 2011, at the age of 81 surrounded by his Canadian Family. Son of the late George and Amy Campion, Dearest loved Brother of Eddwin and late Sister Vera, Brother-in-Law of Betty, also a much loved Uncle, Great Uncle and Cousin. Bill moved from England to Canada in 1957, where he met his Best Pal Ernie Blanchette and began his career at Algoma Steel. He soon became an honorary member of Ernie and his wife Joan’s family. He was a loving Uncle and will be dearly missed by their children, Ernie Jr. (Cathy), Monique Johnson (Victor), Denise Moss (Neal) and their children Stephanie, Bryan, Kevin, Jessica and Jamie. At the request of Bill there will be no funeral service. He will always be remembered for his love of gardening, cooking and reading. He was a quiet man with a very large heart and was always ready to help those in need. We can be assured that he is once again enjoying a glass of red wine with friends. Memorial contributions to the Sault Area Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family. A special thank you to Dr. Waymouth for all the years he cared for Bill, and most recently Dr. Tull, Dr. Hirvi, Dr. Mogharrabi, Dr. Schamp and Dr. Hemy.
