Brother of the late Werner (Hank) Butsch (Muriel), Margot Starick of Berlin, Germany, Ingra Sommer (Rolle) of Berlin, Germany, Gerhard Butsch (Ruth) of Berlin, Germany and Christa Collinson (Peter) of Warwickshire, England. Alfred was born on April 29, 1935 in Berlin, Germany and arrived in Canada in 1951. He retired from Algoma Steel and continued his passion in photography and travel. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 from 11 am until time of the funeral service in the chapel at 1 pm.
