Martha (Mickey) Burk passed away peacefully at the General Hospital on Thursday, August 8, 2002 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late Norman D. Burk Sr. Dear mother of Norman David Jr. (wife Kathleen) of Medina, Ohio, and Gerald Walter "Gerry" (wife Janice). Dear grandmother of Chris and Kim of Sault Ste. Marie. Sister of the late Richard E. Miller (wife Anna) of Parma, Ohio, and the late Marie Peters of Detroit, Michigan. Aunt of many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will take place at the Barton & Kiteley Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Thursday, August 22 at 11:00 a.m. with Mr. Tom McDonough officiating. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Sault Cancer Clinic or to the Canadian Lung Association would be appreciated. A heartfelt thanks is extended to the doctors and nurses in the Emergency, Critical Care, and 200Y units of the General Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion.
