BUMBACCO, John Leonardo

 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved John on Thursday, December 12, 2013. Born in Sault Ste. Marie, he met and married Dena (Zanatta); he was her cherished and loving husband of 54 years. Caring and devoted father of RomaLee (Bruno) and Leonard (Linda). Very proud and honoured Nonno of Sabrina Ava and Dante Louie. Son of the late Luigi (Louie) and the late Gilda Bumbacco. Son-in-law of the late Angelo and the late Eda Zanatta. Brother of the late Joseph (late Louise), late Rose (Joe), Angelo (Dolores) and Ann Marie (Claude). Brother-in-law of George (Nina) Zanatta and Linda (Leo) Beaudoin. Remembered by many nieces and nephews. Avid gardener with a natural green thumb; skilled bowler; passion for bocce; lucky at cards and dice.  Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Sunday, December 15, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass to be celebrated at St. Jerome’s Parish on Monday, December 16, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Reverend Eric Pannike officiating. Memorial contributions to the Sault Area Hospital ICU, and the Kidney Research Foundation would be appreciated. The immediate family would like to extend a special thank you to the compassionate nurses and doctors in the ICU at the Sault Area Hospital.
