(November 19, 1931- October 27, 2020) - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Angelo on October 27, 2020 in his 89th year. Loving husband of Dolores (Offidani) for the past 62 years. Dear father of Leanne Guillotte (late Rolly), Dennis (Denise), Denise Huckson and Anna-Lise Budd (Jeff). Proud grandfather of Maryse Guillotte (Andrew), Marielle Beatty (Sean), Angelo Huckson (Hannah), Jimmy Huckson, Thomas Bumbacco (Julia), Brendan, Evan and Eric Budd. Adoring great-grandfather of William and Dean Huckson and Rolly Beatty. Son of the late Louie and the late Gilda Bumbaco. Brother of Annmarie DeBenedet (Claude) and predeceased by his brothers Joe Bumbaco (late Lulu), John Bumbaco (Dena) and his sister Rose Gale (late Joe). Uncle of many nieces and nephews and a special friend to many.
We realize that numerous people would like to pay their respects to Angelo, however due to the global pandemic, a private family service will be held at this time.
Since Angelo was an avid and generous hockey promotor, donations may be made through Northwood Funeral Home by cheque or money order made out to the Canadian Tire Jumpstart Sault Ste. Marie. This will continue Angelo’s legacy to the sport of hockey by providing an opportunity for local children who may not otherwise have the chance to enjoy the sport he loved so much. Hockey was his life.
Special thanks to Angelo’s family physicians, Dr. Jonusaitis and Dr. Grosso. We would also like to thank his exceptional health care team of nurses, personal support workers and physicians who took amazing care of Angelo. We would especially like to thank Jennifer Hendrie at the Group Health Centre, the PSWs at Care Partners, especially Steve, and his Bayshore nurses Leah and Jeff.
