Passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 2, 2006 at the Plummer Hospital at the age of 80. Loving husband of Eveline for 45 years. Caring father of Anke Lake (Terry) of London, Ontario and Thomas of Newmarket, Ontario. Dear Opa of Ryan and Haley Lake. Son of the late Reinhold and Martha Buechner. Predeceased by his brother Gert. Brother-in-law of Marion Ulrich (Conrad) and Gabriele Walther (Norbert) both of Berlin, Germany. Uncle to nieces and nephews in Germany. Cousin of Erwin Helffenstein (Doris) and Hildegard Hinterscheid (Arthur) both of Düsseldorf, Germany. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Monday, February 6, 2006 from 1 pm until time of funeral service in the chapel at 3 pm. Rev. Paul Raapana officiating.
