BRUNI, Egidio Joseph 'Ed' or 'Gig'

Passed away peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at the age of 95. Survived by his beloved spouse of 69 years, Elsie (nee Contini).  Loving father of Michael (Janice), Pat (Jean-Paul) and Terry (Colleen). Grandpa to Jesse Bruni (Stephanie), Amanda Bruni (Johnny), Gino Bruni (Tekla), Cassidy Bruni (Carly), Teryn Bruni (Matthew), Justin Bruni (Cassandra), Jenny Moore (Jason), and Steff Moore (Chris) as well Great Grandfather to 8. Will also be missed by 6 nieces and nephews. Ed is known in Sault Ste Marie for his years at Prudential Insurance. His greatest love was owning Brookfield Market which was his favorite place to be.  You could also find Ed and Elsie at the Soo Greyhound Games, where they were season ticket holders.  Ed was a dedicated lifetime  member of the Elks Lodge.  Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E., 705-759-2522) on Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 12:45 pm until 1:45 pm. Funeral service will follow in the chapel at 2:00 pm with Rev. Paul Conway officiating.  Special thanks to the staff on Driftwood 2 at the F. J. Davey Home.
