Peacefully after a courageous battle, surrounded by his family on Thursday, September 30, 2010, at the age of 73. Loved husband and best friend of Beth for 50 years. Son of the late Wally and Flora Bruce. Cherished father of Heather Walker (Stewart), Holly Withers (Martin), Janet Gilbertson (Brent) and Sandy Bruce (Sherry). Granddad of James and Emily Walker; Jennifer, Benjamin, Tyler and Matthew Withers; Kyle, Micaela, Rebekah and Chelsea Gilbertson; Callum and Liam Bruce. Dear brother of Katherine Carothers (Clark), Eileen MacKay (late Bob), Myra MacDonald (late Tom), Linda Murray (Bill), Beverley McLean (Tom) and the late Una Martineau (Dan). Brother in law of Girlie Collings (late Don), Roger Fremlin (late Pat) and predeceased by Guy, Clark, Bill, Frank, Jack and Tom Fremlin, Katherine, Nora and Lu. Uncle to many nieces and nephews.
