BROOKS, Daphne

Formerly of Sault Ste. Marie. Passed away peacefully at the Peter Lougheed Medical Centre in Calgary, Alberta with her family by her side on Monday, March 7, 2011. Beloved wife of the late Percy Brooks. Loving mother of Brian (Carol), Betty Ann Swaim (Dan), Alison (Mike) and the late David. Dear sister of Allen Matthews (Barb), Jackie Staley (Leonard) and the late Catherine Wigmore (late Gordon). Proud grandmother of Kevin (Roxy), Kelly (Mike), Skyler (Terren), Jordan, Samuel, Josiah, Isaiah, Tanzi and Tachoma. Great grandmother of five. Daphne is predeceased by her parents Allen and Rachel Matthews. A private family service has taken place in Calgary at the Pierson’s Funeral Home. A graveside service will take place at Greenwood Cemetery later this spring. Memorial contributions to the Sault Area Hospital Foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
