Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Thursday, May 14, 2009 in his 87th year. Beloved wife of the late Leonda. Step-father of Lilja Tholberg (late Elmer) and Airi Coe (Max). Dear brother of Ruth Shewfelt of Wawa and predeceased by his siblings, Henry, Leonard and Bill Brander (Hilkka), Margaret Skytta and Edith Kohvakko. Special uncle to Bob Shewfelt (Betty), Peter Skytta (Hille) and Chuck Kohvakko (Leona). A memorial service will be held at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Monday, May 25, 2009 at 1 p.m. Rev. Bruce McLeish officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions to Willowgrove United Church or ARCH would be appreciated by the family. Special thanks to the staff at Pathways Retirement Home for the care that Ernie received.
