It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brian Anthony Bower in his 61st year at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice with his wife by his side. Son of the late Hugh and Beulah (Brannen) Bower of Shelburne, NS. Dear husband of Judy and beloved father of Sara and Amy Bower. Brother of the late Myrna Mae Rech (Robert) of Shelburne, NS, Gordon Bower of Dartmouth, NS and Cheryl Bower of Shelburne, NS. Special brother-in-law of Donna Mason of Sudbury, ON. He will be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews. Brian maintained his dignity and sense of humour throughout his battle with cancer. A special thank you to Dr. Berg and to the staff and volunteers at ARCH for their exceptional care and compassion. Cremation has taken place under the guidance of the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre. At Brian’s request there will be no visitation. A celebration of life memorial service will take place at Trinity United Church in Shelburne, NS at a later date.
