Passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2010 at the age of 56 at the Sault Area Hospital Plummer Site after a long and courageous battle. Predeceased by her loving partner Don Berry. Lovingly missed by her children Michelle Plouffe (Ed Metherall), Nicole Plouffe and James Plouffe. Forever cherished by her grandchildren Krista Bissiallon (Clinton Ritchie and his mom Leanne Ritchie), Nathan Bissiallon, Destyni DeLuca, Torii DeLuca and Liam Milligan. Vicci leaves behind her sister Mitzi Filiatrault of Garson, ON, brother Kevin McKenna of Garson, ON, brother Mark McKenna (Christine) of Fort MacMurray, AB, and sister Jane Schnittker (Rodger) of Paisley, ON. Predeceased by her parents Erma Mary Dufresne and Kevin Oliver McKenna. Will be remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Special thanks to the wonderful nurses and staff of the Care Unit East Plummer Site. The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Shafiee, Dr. Berry and Dr. Sean Armstrong. Sincere gratitude to Shirley Pulkkinen (Renal Counsellor) and Kim Kisher (Renal Dietician). Our mother and family are deeply appreciative of the special care and compassion given to her by the nurses of the Renal Dialysis Unit. At Vicci’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service.
